We’re at the airport now. Time is ticking down as we make our last minute preparations for the trip.
The last few days have been trying as the gravity of going on this trip has intensified in my head. Doubts swirl in my head as I wonder where I fit in and whether the team leaders regret having me on the team. With all the excitement surrounding the Lakers, I’m reminded of the 2004 Lakers - four first ballot Hall of Famers and yet a total lack of team unity. Will we fall to the same fate and falling out as a team? However, God doesn’t give us more than we can handle and these challenges will help us grow in Christ.
God is good and has given me encouragement in many ways as well from encouraging emails to videos of a missionary’s Q&A session. Thanks to all of you for praying for me and for continually pointing me towards Christ.
The rest of the team has arrived at the airport safely and got a chance to settle down and pray together before the flight. Auntie Micki, Patrick, Jacey, and Sabrina are traveling on the same flight as I am. The rest of the team has already landed in Taiwan despite some additional challenges due to flight cancellations due to the Eva Airline strikes.
Anyways, we are about to take off so I will be signing off now. The plane ride there will be full of lesson preparation and sleep.
Prayer Requests
- Guidance from the Holy Spirit as I continue to prepare the lessons I will be teaching in the first week in Taiwan.
- Team unity and humility from me
Got to fly. See you all when I get back!
